I was lucky enough to wander by Wilson Winery one fine spring day in 2014 just as a larage flat bed truck began to unload the disassembled steel bones of this magnificent sclpture which had been on display in Geyserville. The creature came alive in front of my lens, reconstructed piece by giant piece, swallowing its handlers one by one, and reaching around for a fierce nip at the very crane which had restored its vitality.
The Howling Coyote is a fascinating stop in any trip to Dry Creek, just a couple of miles off US101 in Healdsburg. Don't miss it.
